Safian Bata Sdn. Bhd.
was fundamentally formed to undertaking the assets and
liabilities of Syarikat Safian, the sole Proprietorship Company
owned by Tuan Haji Safian Bin Che Hassan. It was incorporated on May 13,
1994. Syarikat Safian was formed in 1974 by Tuan Haji Safian Bin Che
Hassan, a local Businessman. It was basically involved in
charcoal manufacturing industry and trading.
Until 1975 it started its operation of clay Brick Industry which
was initially manufactured by using hand moulder. The operation
took place at Lot 2233 Kampung Padang Banggu on the 7 acres
land, which is about 12 kilometers away from capital town Kota
Bharu, Kelantan.
In 1979, Syarikat Safian managed to purchase a clay brick
machine which could produce about 15,000 pieces per working day
through a RM50,000.00 loan from Bank Bumiputra Kota Bharu. In
1982 Syarikat Safian bought another new machine to fulfill the
demand for the clay brick especially during the 80’s. Until then
it started to produce about 500,000 pieces of brick per month.
Syarikat Safian was known as the biggest brick maker in Kelantan
during the 80’s and 90’s. It goes along with our motto, “remember
brick, remember safian”
During the 80’s, Syarikat Safian was able to purchase 3 units of
Tipper Lorries, 2 units of Shovels and 4 units of Forklifts to
fasten and ease the operation of the factory. With the four Kiln
tunnels in operation, Syarikat Safian has no problem in meeting
the demand of the clay bricks especially in Kelantan and
Terengganu.
In 1992, Anuar Bin Haji Safian, the only son of Tuan Haji Safian Bin Che
Hassan has joint the family business as Marketing and Production
Manager. He manage to transform all the asset and liabilities of
Syarikat Safian into Safian Bata Sdn. Bhd. on May 1994.
Safian Bata Sdn. Bhd. in the line of its expansion plan had
bought a new line of machineries like Backhoe Loader and 5 units
of Tipper Lorries to diversify its operation into construction
based businesses. Safian Bata had ever tackled the contract to
supply the machineries or heavy equipment such as shovel,
backhoe loader and tipper lorries to Lankhorst Pancabumi
Contractors Sdn. Bhd. at cement batching plant for the Westport
Project Port Klang Selangor during Jan 1997 to March 1999.
Safian Bata Sdn. Bhd. also served as the transporter for the Sungai Way Quarry Sdn. Bhd. in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan to
transport the granite materials to the Kuala Lumpur
International Airport Sepang, Selangor from 1996 to 1998.
Nowadays, Safian Bata is still active in its activities to
produce clay brick even though it was affected by the economic
turbulence during 1997-1999. Safian Bata has the greatest asset,
its loyal employees which had been with, for 2 economic
recessions. |
